A disaster strikes, leaving a handful of people alive. As the survivors find each other, they are bound together on a journey of endurance, travelling to a place where they may find help. As they travel they seek to imprint their future and their hope, into a hopeless landscape, by relating the stories of what they have seen and experienced.
Loosely based on *The Decameron, After,we will……. is a raw tale set some time in New Zealand’s future. Using a mix of projection, music and live action, this epic tale is an intimate and emotionally compelling theatre experience for young people and their families.
Out Loud Theatre Company is the exciting and well-established youth acting company of The Performing Arts School of NZ. It offers training and performance opportunities for students aged 16 -19 who are talented, passionate about acting for the theatre, and committed to their development as actors. Over the years many Out Loud actors have gone on to tertiary education and successful careers in the NZ performing arts industry.
* The Decameron is a collection of 100 novellas by Italian author Giovanni Boccaccio – a medieval allegorical work best known for its tales of love.
