| Other Info | By Badal Sircar A PRAYAS INDIAN THEARE COMPANY PRODUCTION Directed by Rahul Gandhi Playwright Badal Sircar was one of the pioneers of street theatre in India and this was usually used to communicate socio-political messages and to create awareness among the masses regarding critical issues that they otherwise might not have gathered. It is a form which breaks formal barriers and approaches people directly. Badal Sircar takes us on a journey to have a peek of a land in the ideal future. The story unfolds through the eyes of two professional thieves who now have their basic understanding of society questioned in this new ideal land. Based in an Indian folk theatre setting, ‘Tales from the land of Hattamela’ will be a true feast – vivid colours, an array of musical genres and a tale that will take us into the good old ideal future. OPENS: Saturday 29th May - 7pm CLOSES: Sunday 30th May - 4pm 2010 TICKETS: $15.00 full, $10.00 concession |
