Using the concept of a blank canvas to represent life, our dancers weave their stories using colour as the theme and movement as the medium.
Canvas is a multifaceted show, and has something for people of all ages. Multimedia and art combine to paint our picture, as we take our audience on a journey of every emotion and phase of what makes up our lives. The show has a varied soundtrack and and also features live accompaniment to some of the pieces, adding even more depth to the already moving show. Special guest dance acts finish off the production beautifully, ensuring a mix of dance styles, showcasing several up and coming, very talented New Zealand choreographers. From fun and frivolity, to dealing with some of lifes hardships and gritty issues, CANVAS has it all.
