The workshops are open to anyone interested in working on their techniques as a director.

All levels of experience are welcome. 

Please note, you must be available to attend both days (Sat 31 July  & Sun 1 August). Places will be limited to 10 people only, so enrol now to secure your place.

To go on the waiting list you must select the 'FREE' option at booking. If you are offered a place then you are welcome to pay a koha at that point.

Ahilan Karunaharan

Ahilan is a writer, actor, director and producer of Srilankan Tamil descent. From intimate encounters to large-scale epics, pioneering works for the South Asian community, International Arts Festivals, immersive participatory installations and musicals, Ahi has been involved in shows, productions and festivals both nationally and internationally. 2020 Arts Foundation Laureate and recipient of the Sir Roger Hall Theatre Award, Ahi’s Directing highlights include 'My Heart Goes Thadak Thadak' for Silo Theatre, 'A Fine Balance' for Auckland Theatre Company, and 'Tea' for the Auckland Arts Festival.
