Theatre Games (Ages 7+)

Maddie's performance background roots in dance and musical theatre. Though she is new to teaching, she's experienced with tāmariki in the arts! Since graduating Toi Whakaari in 2022, she's worked as an actor with 'Duffy Books in Homes' performing to primary school kids up and down the motu in an interactive live show. This year's theme is 'space' and of course, encourages reading in young people. Maddie has a newfound admiration for youth work, especially in the arts field, and believes it to be an important and expansive medium of education. She spent the best part of her upbringing in dance class, so it feels full circle to come back to the studio in this new way!
