Recently completing her Master's in Dance Studies with the University of Auckland, Bethany is passionate about creating culturally inclusive and engaging spaces through dance, drama and the performing arts. Having danced since the age of six and with seven years of experience teaching dance, she has worked with children and young people across schools, dance studios, community programmes and holiday programmes. Bethany currently teaches junior ballet at The Dance Studio in Morningside.

Throughout her studies, Bethany developed a strong interest in community dance and dance education, receiving First in Course Awards in Community Dance, Dance Education, Inclusive Dance Pedagogies and Dance in Aotearoa New Zealand. Her Master's research further explored storytelling and choreography with young wāhine, reflecting her passion for creating meaningful and creative opportunities for young people.

Bethany's repertoire includes ballet, contemporary, tap dance, Siva Samoa, kapa haka and choreography. She is currently completing Levels 1 and 2 of Te Reo Māori through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and enjoys incorporating her growing language into her creative practice. Having also worked with TAPAC as an Outreach Drama Workshop Assistant and Creative Kids Club Tutor, and previously as the lead tutor for Sing Dance Act, Bethany is excited to create fun, welcoming, and inclusive spaces where every child feels supported, creative, and empowered to participate with excellence.
